42 lakh voters excluded in Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal, 24/12/25(AMA AITIHA) : The SIR process has been completed in Madhya Pradesh as per the instructions of the Election Commission. While the EC was publishing the list of voters on Tuesday, it was found that 42.74 lakh voters were excluded. The list has been uploaded on the website of the Chief Electoral Officer of Madhya Pradesh. The voters excluded from the list include 19.19 lakh males and 23.64 lakh females. Out of the total 5,74,06,143 voters in the state, 5,31,31,983 submitted the enumeration form. Out of this, 42,74,160 voters have been excluded, informed CEO Sanjiv Kumar Ojha. It has been said that the voters whose names have been excluded from the list can apply by January 22, 2026. The final voter list will be published on February 21.
On the other hand, the list of voters for Kerala was also released on Tuesday. Accordingly, 24,0503 voters have been excluded from the list. Of these, 6,49,503 have already died and 6,45,548 voters are missing while 8,16,221 have migrated. Apart from Madhya Pradesh and Kerala, the EC has also released the list of voters for Chhattisgarh. More than 27 lakh voters have been excluded from the list in Chhattisgarh. Of these, 6,42,234 have already died while 19,13,540 are reported to be missing. It is said that 1,79,043 voters have also been excluded from the list as their names are registered in multiple places.
