Bhubaneswar 20/12/25(AMA ATIHA): The cold weather is slowly increasing in the state due to dense fog. The people of the state are living in a state of cold. Even for the last 2-3 days, the temperature has been below 10 degrees in 10 cities. Meanwhile, the cold weather is being experienced in the Bonai area of Sundargarh district due to dense fog. Due to which even 50 meters of roads are not visible. Even due to dense fog, it is becoming difficult to leave the house before 10 am. However, it will be more cold in south and west Odisha. Coastal Odisha will be relatively less cold. The night temperature will drop drastically for the next five days and the cold will also increase. The cold will continue until the beginning of the new year. However, the Meteorological Department has predicted that the cold may decrease to some extent after January 10. If we take a look at the past, on Friday, the night temperature was below 10 degrees in 10 places. Semiliguda became the coldest region with 5.7 degrees. Koraput recorded 6 degrees, G Udayagiri 6.6, Jharsuguda 7.2, Daringbadi 8, Boudh 9.4, Chipilima, Angul, Rayagada and Nabarangpur 10 degrees. While Koraput recorded 5.2 degrees below normal, Angul 3.5 degrees and Bhubaneswar 1.3 degrees below normal, the night temperature in Jharsuguda was recorded 4.5 degrees below normal.
